This page explains why you may have received an email from a smilelabs.dental address, what we hold about you, and how to stop it. It applies to the clinics and professionals we write to; it is not about patient data.

The controller is Smilelabs d.o.o., Pesnica pri Mariboru 42C, 2211 Pesnica pri Mariboru, Slovenia, +386 40 935 890. We make Shine clear aligners for dental clinics.
If nothing comes of it, we delete your details at most two years after we obtained them. If you ask us not to contact you, we keep only a fingerprint of your address on our do-not-contact list, so that it stays that way.
We hold the business contact details of your clinic: its name, address, website, email and phone, and for the dentists who work there their name and specialisation. We got them from a public source, a professional register, an event or our own notes, and the email tells you which. We keep them to inform dental clinics about our products and professional education, based on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where the law of your country asks for it, we send marketing only with your consent. An email from a founder's address is personal: it was written to you by the person who signed it.
We do not create accounts, profiles or scores from a contact list.
We do not sell or pass your details to anyone outside SmileLabs. Our emails are delivered by an email service provider (Resend) acting on our instructions.
We do not write again if you tell us not to. One click in the email is enough.
You may object at any time, and ask us for access to your details, their correction or their deletion. Reply to the email you received, use the link at its end, or write or call us at the address above. You may also complain to a data protection authority; in Slovenia that is the Information Commissioner, www.ip-rs.si.
smilelabs.dental is a static website. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and collects nothing about its visitors. It is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs.
The data of Shine clinics and their patients is governed by the partnership agreement and the drShine terms, not by this page.
